OVERVIEW
The Morris Family Reunion will convene in Chicago this year. I invite everyone to this beautiful, vibrant city to experience all it has to offer and reconnect with family and friends. It is my hope that during this weekend, we will strengthen our bonds, learn more about our ancestry, and have a great time!
To that end, I have chosen a hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago to use as our basecamp. The Holiday Inn at Chicago Mart Plaza is located in River North and will allow easy access to the most popular museums, restaurants and attractions. The group rate is $189.00 per night and is the best price for the most value that I found. Less expensive accommodations can be had in hotels farther away from the center of the city but offer fewer amenities. What you may gain in price you will lose in convenience and time.
Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza River North
The room block is under Morris Family Reunion. One ADA compliant room is included in the block. Individuals are responsible for reserving and paying for their room. All reservations must be made by phone. Please call 855-268-0372 to make your reservations. The hotel will hold this block of rooms until Tuesday, May 7, 2019. At that time, rooms not covered by the individual reservations will be released for general sale and the group rate, available June 6th through the 9th, may no longer be available.
ALTERNATIVES
These two hotels are located side-by-side in Hyde Park and offer views of the lake and free parking. The Lake Shore Hotel is a really good value but reviews about its quality are mixed.

If you want to keep looking for less expensive hotels use choosechicago.com, tripadvisor.com, etc. But limiting your options will keep you in closer proximity to downtown and the family.
